Program: |
This six-day class is taught by Dr. Shelley
Thomas. Shelley is an associate professor of French and the
founder and director of the Center for Accelerated Language
Acquisition (CALA), a center for the research and
application of methods of accelerated language acquisition.
Parnerships for language classes and teacher-training have
been formed both locally and internationally between CALA
and the Department of Social Services, as well as with the
Isha Foundation, a non-profit organization in southern
India.
No previous French experience is assumed or required. At the
same time, it is a challenging refresher for those who have
had a year of the traditional language class of reading and
writing, but would like more audio-lingual work. |

Thomas with the subject line "Request MTSU Beginner Spanish
class". If there are spots available, you will receive
confirmation that you may register with Dr. Thomas. Once you
have confirmation, send your $120 check (payable to CALA /

The registration deadline is June 30. There
will be no refunds for cancellations made after June 30. Any
cancellations made prior to June 30 will receive a $75
refund. If CALA experiences circumstances that cause the
cancellation, you will receive a full refund.

Program: |
Mr. Brian Roberts, language specialist for
the State of Tennessee and trained by Dr. Thomas, teaches
Beginning Spanish. This class assumes students have had
no Spanish. At the same time, it is a challenging
refresher for those who have had a year of the traditional
language class of reading and writing, but would like more
audio-lingual work.
